In a comprehensive study exploring consumer perceptions and ownership in the powersport sector, respondents indicated high familiarity with brands across various vehicle categories, including motorcycles, scooters, snowmobiles, ATVs/UTVs/Side-by-Sides, boats, and PWCs. Top factors shaping consumer opinions on brands are brand characteristics, quality, dependability, and pricing. In motorcycles, Honda emerged as a clear favorite in both ownership and preference for future purchases. For scooters, Honda and Vespa had strong brand recognition and preference. Ski-Doo is the preferred brand for new snowmobiles, while Polaris led the ATV/UTV/Side-by-Side category. Among boats, Sea Ray was the preferred choice, while Sea-Doo dominated the PWC category. The survey findings provide valuable insights for manufacturers to better understand consumer sentiments, brand perceptions, and purchase decision factors.
