EPG Specialty Information conducted a recent survey of powersports enthusiasts, which revealed that eco-friendly and sustainable products can be a win with customers in this industry. The survey found that 59% of powersports enthusiasts are very or extremely aware of current environmental issues. Interestingly, the level of stated environmental awareness is not directly correlated with the level of concern.
However, the survey revealed that concern level strongly impacts environmental effort, with 47% of those who are more concerned making an effort all the time, compared to only 23% of those who are less concerned. Those who make an effort some of the time is basically the same across concern levels (49-50%). Fortunately, almost three-quarters of respondents make an effort at least some of the time, and fewer than 10% make no effort towards maintaining the environment.
Additionally, the survey found that highlighting eco-friendly and sustainable products is a win across almost all powersports consumers. Even those who are only moderately aware may be more likely to purchase products that are positioned as being environmentally responsible.
These findings demonstrate the growing importance of environmentalism among powersports enthusiasts, and the potential for companies in this industry to capitalize on this trend by offering eco-friendly and sustainable products. By promoting these products as environmentally responsible, companies can appeal to a wide range of customers, including those who are highly concerned about the environment as well as those who are moderately aware.
Furthermore, promoting eco-friendly and sustainable products can also help companies in the powersports industry to differentiate themselves from their competitors. In a crowded marketplace, companies that prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility are likely to stand out and attract more customers.
In conclusion, EPG Specialty Information's survey suggests that highlighting eco-friendly and sustainable products can be a win with powersports consumers. By doing so, companies in this industry can appeal to a wide range of customers and differentiate themselves from their competitors, while also contributing to the preservation of the environment.
